Tommie L. Givens was born May 27, 1922 in Carr Lane, Missouri to William and Mable Arnold. On November 18, 2018, Tommie entered into rest with her Lord and Savior. She married Richard Loyd Givens on January 17, 1940; he preceded her in death on February 6, 2012. Together, Tommie and Richard had two sons, Edward (Butch) Givens and Dennis Givens and one daughter, Joi Hobart.
Tommie worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell and a PBX operator at Ft. Crowder and at Rocketdyne. Her most important job was that of a housewife, mother, and grandmother.
Tommie is survived by son, Dennis and his wife, Gloria; daughter, Joi; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; her husband, Loyd; her son, Butch; and one grandson, Jesse Givens.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
