Martha J. Brammer, 89, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Oak Pointe of Carthage.
Martha was born January 12, 1929 in Macon, MO to Russel and Beaula “Dreer” Carter. Martha was a homemaker and Carthage resident since 1967. When she lived in the Kansas City Area, she worked at a button factory and at Motorola. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage and enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School. Martha loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dog, Buddy.
Martha was united in marriage to Eugene Brammer on November 9, 1947 in Macon, MO; he preceded her in death on December 27, 2005.
Martha is survived by one son, Garry E. Brammer and wife Stephanie of Joplin; one daughter, Debbie S. Castor and husband Elvis of Carthage; two grandchildren, Justin R. Castor and wife Letisha and Seth B. Castor; three great grandchildren, Addison, Kyleigh and Luke.
Martha was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmie, Howard and Harold Carter; two sisters, Marie Faught and Letha Carter.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Memory Unit Caregivers at Oak Pointe.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
