Lois Irene Gillen, age 79, Jasper, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at her daughter's home in Golden City, Missouri.
Lois was born April 24, 1939 in Barton County, Missouri on her family farm, daughter of the late Bert Kaderly and Hattie Lewis Kaderly. She graduated from Golden City High School in 1957 and married Wayne Farmer in May of 1957. The couple lived in the Golden City area for years and had two daughters, Donna and Lisa. Lois worked for over 30 years at Golden Business Forms in Golden City. Lois was a member of Jasper Christian Church. She loved playing cards with her friends at Golden City, drinking coffee with friends at Judy’s CafĂ© and playing bingo. Lois married Kenneth Gillen in 1981, and he preceded her in death in 2014.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Long and husband Mark of Golden City, Lisa Wingert and husband Dennis of Lamar, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jeremy Hutton of Golden City, Heather Miller and husband Marshall of Lamar, Brandon Hutton of Golden City, Kendra Williams and Neal Robins of Joplin, Chelsea Greenlee and husband Dakota of Webb City, Missouri, and Maya Williams of Pittsburg, Kansas; nine great-grandchildren; step children, Stephen Gillen of Carthage, Rose Marie Salinas of Fort Pierce, Florida, Michael Gillen of Houston, Texas; her twin sister, Lola Drury of Jasper; several step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Memorial service will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Jasper Christian Church with Pastor Mike Moss officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Four State Cremation.
