Thomas Edward “Ziggy” Wilson, age 58 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital.
He was born on November 29, 1959 in Joplin to the late Paul Wilson and Evelyn Myers Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Wilson; one sister, Sharon Gibson; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Ziggy owned and operated Air and Sound Car Audio for over thirty years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, and enjoyed racing Camaros at MOKAN Speedway.
He married his sweetheart of more than twenty-four years, Tifanni Jo Ann Russell on September 26, 2017 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Christina Landburg and husband, Adam, Jacqueline Fletcher and husband, Adam, both of Webb City; five grandchildren, Paige Langford, Landon Fletcher, Addison Landburg, Krew Elledge, Lincoln Fletcher; a sister Patricia Arrowood, Joplin; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Danny Gideon, whom helped provide for his care.
Funeral services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Joplin. Rev. Dr. Tim Sumners will officiate. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation and may be left in care of the mortuary.
