Robert Lee Burkybile of Miami, OK passed from this life Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at his home in Miami. He was 83.
Robert was born September 11, 1935 in Quapaw, OK to Joe and Cecil (Ball) Burkybile. He had lived in the Quapaw, Miami and Baxter Springs, KS area most of his life. He served in the U. S. Army and was a supervisor for Yellow Freight System in Baxter Springs, KS. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Miami and the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma.
Robert was preceded in death by a son Robert Burkybile, Jr. in 1997, his parents, a brother Charles Burkybile and a sister Lavetta Sue Lambeth.
Robert is survived by his wife Jeanette Burkybile of the home, 2 daughters Marijo Cooper of Fairland, OK and Susan Burkybile of Miami, OK, 4 brothers Phil Dean Burkybile of Galena, KS, Bill Edward Burkybile of TX, Joe Lee Burkybile of Joplin, MO and Tom Burkybile of Quapaw, OK, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Reception will be Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Family Center in Miami, OK.
