Charles Edward Mackensen, age 88 of Columbus, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
Charles was born September 15, 1934 to Richard and Elsie Fagan Mackensen in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
He married Doris Mae Dale in Greenville, PA. November 16, 1996 Charles married Kitty Wells in Oswego, Kansas. He had lived in California for some while, before moving to this area about 34 years ago. Charles was a plant manager for Ace Electric. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Joplin, Missouri.
Charles is survived by one son Dale Mackensen of Columbus, Kansas; sisters Teddy Siegele of Yorbalinda, CA, and Sandy Hilberg of Lake Montezuma, AZ; 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his two wives, two sons: Richard and Charles.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus. No services are planned at this time. Online condolences may be left for the family at derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
