Donald Edward Ziulkowski, age 81, Joplin, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at his home.
Donald was born May 14, 1938 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to the late Edward Joseph Ziulkowski and Rose (Gilmore) Ziulkowski.
He graduated from high school in Michigan and later attended Michigan Technical University for a year, where he met Bertha Irene Komula. Donald and Bertha were united in marriage on May 24, 1958 in Hancock, Michigan; she preceded him in death on September 28, 2017.
Donald worked as an inspector for General Motors. He was an avid golfer, being a member of the USGA, and enjoyed shooting pool, where he was a member of the Busch League Billiards Club. Donald was an avid sports enthusiast, playing and watching sports his entire life. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Joplin.
Survivors include three sons, Geoff Ziulkowski (wife Lisa), Rochester, Michigan, Bud Ziulkowski (wife Donna), Blue Springs, Missouri, and Charles “Chas” Ziulkowski (wife Andee), Carl Junction, Missouri; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ann Boucher.
Memorial services will be held 12 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2616 Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64804. A second memorial service will follow at 3 pm at College View Manor, 3828 College View Dr, Joplin, MO 64801. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
