Cynthia Ann Goodman, Age 57 of Galena, passed away at Freeman West Hospital at 3:42 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
Cynthia was born on March 14, 1962 in Baxter Springs, KS to the union of Floyd Wilson and Betty (Hayden) Wilson. She had lived in the Galena/Riverton area all of her life, graduating from Riverton High School with the Class of 1979. She later attended NEO A&M College where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital for five years, Freeman Hospital for three years, and also various nursing homes throughout the area.
She was united in marriage with Gerald “Joe” Harper Goodman, Jr. on April 14, 1987 in Miami, OK. He survives.
Additional survivors include her parents, Floyd and Betty Wilson; three sons, Gerald “Cody” Harper Goodman III (wife, Chelsea) of Joplin; Jesse Rion (wife, Jacque) of Midland, TX; and Jeffrey Rion (wife, Sarah) of Russellville, AR; one brother, Skip Wilson (wife, Sharon) of Riverton; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Niki Goodman, who passed away in May of 2017.
Mrs. Goodman was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-7:00 PM on the evening of Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
