Mrs. Ronda Shelton, 72, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday evening, December 26, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Ronda entered this life on August 30, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, born to the union of the late Charles and Billie Wren (Morris) Miesch. Her formative years were spent in Kilgore, Texas, graduating from Kilgore High School.
For fifteen years she worked as a clerk at E-Z Mart in Texarkana and an additional fifteen years at Wal-Mart in Nash, Texas, retiring in 2005. In 2018 she moved to Joplin, Missouri, to be closer to her son. She enjoyed fishing, craft projects and was an avid reader.
Ronda is survived by her husband, Delbert Shelton of Joplin; a son, John Clune and wife, Tracy, of Joplin; two grandchildren, Ashley and Treavor Clune; a cousin, Becky Miesch; her best friend, Peggy Castleman of Ashdown, Arkansas; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020 in the chapel of Parker Mortuary with Pastor Marilyn O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow in Osborne Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri
