Pauline Brous

Pauline Frances Brous, age 93, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Nevada Nursing and Rehab.

Pauline was born September 9, 1926 in Webb City, MO to James David Capp and Oma Rebecca (Smith) Capp. 

On October 27, 1944, She married Jack B. Brous, at Girard, Kansas and together they had seven children. She worked at Big Smith for over 20 years, was a contract mail transporter for over 37 years, at Roger's Lures & Tackle and was a cook at Marti's Cafe. She was a member of Living Hope Church of the Nazarene for over 76 years where she served as the church treasurer for many years. 








Pauline is survived by four sons, Jim Brous and his wife, Robyn, of Springfield, MO, Calvin Brous and his wife, Bonnie, of Liberal, MO, Dan Brous, of Lamar, MO, and Ken Brous and his wife Robin, of Lamar, MO; three daughters, Karen Hardy and her husband Greg, of Liberal, MO, Barbara Moore and her husband Greg of Jackson, TN, and Staci Scarberry and her husband Rick of Lamar, MO; 23 grandchildren,; 33 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brous in 2009, her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Lori Lynn King, April 16, 1967.

A private funeral service for Pauline will be held and she will be laid to rest next to her husband in Oakton Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects and sign the guest book July 14-16 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Daniel Funeral Home.
