(From Parker Mortuary)Kevin Lee Rutherford, age 59, Joplin passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Joplin Gardens following a sudden illness surrounded by staff and residents of his home.
Kevin was born May 21, 1961 in Wichita, Kansas, one of 16 children. He graduated from high school, and worked as a heavy equipment operator, specializing in backhoe operations. Kevin has lived in several locations throughout his career.
Kevin was a father of six, and married three times. His fondest memories were spending time with his children.
Kevin has been a resident of Joplin Gardens where he survived the tornado, enjoyed watching Nascar, and listening to classic rock. He had many hobbies, and assembling model cars, airplanes, and boats brought him much pride. He loved to display them for everyone to see.
Kevin was a friend to all, and was always the life of the party. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends at Joplin Gardens.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
