(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Gary Keplar, age 65, Joplin, Missouri passed away at his home January 14, 2022 following a sudden illness.
He was born September 14, 1956, in Joplin, Missouri to George and Carol (Berner) Keplar.
Gary enjoyed the rodeo circuit and was involved with youth rodeo. He had worked for Eagle-Picher and most recently he was a truck driver for Americold before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Edward Keplar, and the love of his life, Sis Butts.
Gary is survived by two sisters, Mary Keplar and Martha Keplar, adopted son, Tony Butts, adopted daughter, Tonya Jackson and husband Douglas, two grandchildren, Luke Jackson, K.C. Jones and wife Kelsie, and, one great grandchild, Kaisen.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory Joplin, Missouri.
