Max Jaeger

Maximilian “Max” Jaeger, age 62, of Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Max, son of the late Wallace and Esther (Osborn) Jaeger, was born on July 12, 1979 in Jacksonville, FL. He was previously employed with Empire Electric/Liberty Utilities starting in 1976 as a Janitor working his way to a Journey Lineman. He retired in August after 44 years of service. 








In 2014 he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Davenport in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Max was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed traveling to the beach and making memories with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Jaeger, of Joplin; his children, Jeremiah Jaeger, and his wife, Justine, of Joplin, Samantha Wyatt, and her husband, Matthew, of Riverton, and Mckayla Jaeger, of Springfield; a step-son, Dane Parker, and his wife, Karen, of Joplin; his 10 grandchildren, Emma Collins, Jaxon Jaeger, Axel Jaeger, Kali Jaeger, Max Wyatt, Riley Wyatt, Malaki Wyatt, Avery Parker, Amelia Parker, and Addalee Parker; three brothers, John Jaeger, and his wife, Tammy, Scott Jaeger, and his wife, Alisha, and James Jaeger, and his wife, Judy; three sisters, Amy Hentz, and her husband, Jerry, Mary Scott, and her husband, Mark, and Elizabeth Tatham, and her husband, Chris; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley Jaeger.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Mound Cemetery in Galena with Dean Byrns officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, January 31st from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
