Kim Seavy

Kim Philip Seavy, of Joplin, MO, passed away on January 17th, 2021, at age 64. Kim was born July 30th, 1957, in Los Angeles, California to Philip Seavy and Dorace (Hart) Seavy. 

His siblings included brothers Gaylord Douglas Seavy, Michael Seavy, and Steven Dargitz, and sisters Dyan Westvang, Marijane Pearson, Nancy Chambers, and Cindy Roberson. 










Kim was married to Kathleen (Wuellner) Seavy since September of 2014. Kim was a graduate of Everett High School in Everett, WA. His most recent employment was quality control in the manufacturing industry. He served honorably in the United States Army in early adulthood. Kim enjoyed fishing, reading military history, and writing about international politics and diplomacy.

Kim is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of Joplin, and his children Joseph (Trish), of Spanaway, WA, James (Sierra), of Gillette, WY, Andrew (Tiffany), of Joplin, Lorraine, of Seattle, Xander, of Lynwood, WA, Kelly Hibbard, of Stockton, MO, and Karl Mitchler, of Union, MO. Grandchildren include Victoria, Gabriel, Courtney, Hailey, Heidi, Holly, Bentley, Nathaniel, Huntre, Malachi, Evelyn, Edward, Elaina, Blake, Christopher, Marissa, Summer, and Ashley. Great grandchildren include Hayven, Isaac, and Jace. Bonus children and grandchildren include Brittany, Drew, Dallin, Christine, and Alunzo.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 22nd at 2 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Joplin, MO. Cremation has been arranged through Parker Mortuary of Joplin, MO.
