Austin Fenimore

Austin Wayne Fenimore, age 27 of Cherokee, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

Austin was born in Pittsburg, KS on March 22, 1994 to Todd Wayne Fenimore and Sheri Jo Forkner. He attended Columbus Schools as well as Southeast High School where he graduated from. He was a hard worker, always striving to give his girls the best life. He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, and hunting mushrooms and wild asparagus.








He is survived by his two daughters, Kenzie Jo Fenimore and Kaylee Rose Fenimore of the home; his father, Todd Wayne Fenimore of the home; two brothers, Jacob Jarrett (wife, Sydnie) of Carl Junction, MO, and Caleb Fenimore of Pittsburg, KS; one sister, Shelby Zook (husband, Bailey) of Columbus, KS; grandparents, Shirley Forkner of Columbus, Diana Lovell of Cherokee, and Mark Fenimore (wife, Bonnie) of Pittsburg; his Great-Grandmother, Mary Pallett of Cherokee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheri Jo Forkner; and his grandfather, Billy Forkner.

Mr. Fenimore has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus for cremation. The family will host a graveside memorial service at McKee Cemetery, Hallowell, KS, at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
