(From Parker Mortuary)Stephen Anthony Blunt, age 61, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Freeman West of Joplin.
Stephen was born October 15, 1960 in Joplin, son of the late Willie Blunt and Mary Lee (Johnson) Blunt-Barber. He grew up in Joplin and attended Memorial High School.
He worked several jobs over the years, but was mainly in construction. He was also a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond.
He is survived by his children, Tambi Wilson of Pittsburg, Kansas, Tressa Fluker of Joplin; grandchildren, Hamyzha “Mia” Johnson and Aveoneae “Ontae” Crain; sisters, Maria “Rita” Leager (Olray) of Joplin, Kathy Britt of St. Louis, Missouri, and Marilyn Johnson and Donna; brothers, Gilbert, Charles, and Joe Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
