(From Simpson Funeral Home)Linda Sue Miles age 68 of Webb City, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital. She was born on February 7, 1953 in Yellville, Arkansas to Vance Shipman and Betty (Griffith) Shipman.
Linda graduated from Missouri Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She was an x-ray tech for 25 years, and also taught at Carl Junction Schools and Joplin Schools. She loved to teach in the special education department where she felt she was called to help the children with special needs.
She is survived by her husband, David Miles; a daughter, Crystal Crocker; sons, John David Miles, II. and wife Rene, Justin William Miles and wife Jaime; grandchildren, Matthew Burkhart, Emily Burkhart, Isabella Barnes, Whitney Miles, Alexis Miles, Taylor Miles, Irelynn Miles, Austin Miles, Griffin Miles, and Wyatt Miles; great grandchildren, Michael Henson, Easton Burkhart, and Jameson Kerr.
The family will be present at the family home, 1221 Homestead Drive, Webb City, Missouri 64870 between the hours of 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 if you would like to come by and visit at that time. They do request if you come by to please where a mask. In lieu of flowers and for Linda’s love for children the family would like donations in her memory to go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
