(From Clark Funeral Home)A gracious and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great- Grandmother, Mona peacefully left her earthly home, while surrounded by her family, to join the Lord.
Born to Bert and Mary Harp on their family farm on August 12, 1934, Mona graduated from Fairview High School in 1952. Upon graduation she moved to Joplin Missouri to work and attend business school.
In 1955 Mona married C.P. Bell, a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force. Together they lived and traveled the world while raising a family of four children. Mona was an active member of The First Baptist Church of Granby since returning to Missouri in 1979. Her many contributions to the church are just far too great to list.
Mona proudly boasted of her 14 Grandchildren and 17 Great- Grandchildren; Mona loved the time she spent with them. Cooking with Grandma was a much sought after activity with each and every visit from all. Her nurturing spirit left them with many loving memories of Grandma and Grandy.
Despite the many obstacles placed in her path, Mona endured and persevered with great fortitude. With a pure heart she graciously took care of her husband C.P., who suffered from dementia, until she was physically unable to do so on her own. She suffered the untimely death of her beloved, youngest son David, only a few months prior to her passing. Her greatest love was her family and she instilled in us all of her devotion to God, her wisdom, and her charity.
Predeceased by her Husband, C.P. Bell, Son, David Bell, and Brother, Clyde Harp. Mona is survived by her three children, Tim Bell (Texas), Ken Bell (Diamond), Brenda Schwab (Kansas City), 14 Grandchildren, 17 Great- Grandchildren, Niece Connie (Arizona) and Nephew Dennis (New Mexico).
Her light shone bright upon us all and we are forever blessed for the time we were given with Mom (Grandma, and Grandy)
