(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Michael Roy “Mike” Montgomery of Miami, OK passed from this life Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 68.
Mike was born July 6, 1954 in Stuttgart, Germany to Alvie Hubert and Hildegard (Werner) Montgomery. He had lived in Miami since 1997 moving from Turlock, CA. Mike had worked for the City of Turlock, CA in the Water Department and for Oklahoma Ice in Miami, OK as a production manager.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike is survived by his wife Linda (Clogston) Montgomery of the home, 1 son, Michael Montgomery, II and wife Amanda of Oronogo, MO , 2 daughters, Melissa Owens and husband Jason of Miami, OK and Amanda Betts and husband Anthony of Colorado Springs, CO, 1 sister, Bonnie Dodson of Indianapolis, IN and 13 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Ottawa Indian Cemetery, east of Miami, OK. Rev. Jerry Baser will officiate. Michael Mon tgomery, II, Anthony Betts, Jason Owens, William Owens, Jason R. Owens, Joshua Owens and Michael Montgomery, III will serve as pallbearers.
