(From Parker Mortuary)Nancy Ellen Payton, age 92, of Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, in Texas.
Nancy, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Clifford Mackey, was born on March 21, 1931, in Texas. She was a graduate of Austin High School and attended the University of Texas.
She met John Nichols “Jack” Payton Sr. in Houston, TX and together, they were united in marriage on December 22, 1951, in Austin, TX. Jack preceded her in death on June 8, 2010.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 10:30 AM at the Fairview Cemetery in Joplin, MO, where she will be laid to rest next to the love of her life, John Nichols “Jack” Payton Sr.
Local arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
