(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Connie M. Brock, 72, of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away at 8:40 am on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at her residence after a short but devastating illness surrounded with love by her family.
Connie was born on May 1, 1952, in Columbus, Kansas to Lester and Lena Kirkpatrick; the first and last of the Kirkpatrick children to be born in a hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the four state area and was an excellent homemaker and mother.
Connie embraced her love of Jesus and spent her life devoted to being a good person. Every morning,
Connie spent her days putting the suit of armor on her loved ones and praying for those that she felt God had placed on her heart.
Connie was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Baxter Springs, Kansas and most recently a member of Park Plaza Christian Church in Joplin, Missouri. She served as a Red Cross volunteer, where she could be a social butterfly and help others. Connie loved connecting to the people in her life, both old and new, and was lover of her British TV.
Survivors include; two grateful and loved daughters, Angie (Tim) Hibbard of Carl Junction, Missouri and Amanda (Clint) Thorn of Carl Junction, Missouri.; two beloved brothers, Gary (Nancy) Kirkpatrick of Olathe, Kansas and Jim (Mary) Kirkpatrick of Baxter Springs, Kansas; two beloved sisters, Judy Lincoln of Kansas City, Missouri and Carol Albertson-Sheppard of Joplin, Missouri; two cherished grandchildren, Abbi Hibbard and Jacob (Krystin) Hibbard and two treasured great-grandchildren, Finley Hibbard and Aurora Burrows; many friends, church family, and extended family (all of whom may as well be immediate family).
She was preceded in death by; her parents, two brothers, Virgil and Carl Kirkpatrick and four sisters,
Alma Kirkpatrick, Norma Maxton, Peggy Seitz, and Helen Close.
In memorial of Connie, the family requests that those who wish to honor her share a story or a photo of
Connie, practice compassion for one another, and love as she loved with deep unyielding goodwill. Per
her wishes she will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank those who called, visited, and checked in on Connie during her illness; as well as Gentiva Hospice for their incredible care.
