(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Jimmy Murl (Jim) Stockam, 94, Joplin, Missouri, passed from this life on August 21, 2024. Jim was born in Joplin, Missouri on February 4, 1930, and was a lifelong resident of Joplin.
He was married to Marjorie Louise Stockam on July 17, 1955 who passed this life on December 21, 2021. Jim was baptized in 1967 and was a life-time member of the Church of Christ.
Jim leaves behind three sons, Steve (Diane) Stockam of Joplin, Jimmy (Stefani) Stockam of Joplin, and Scott (Angela) Stockam of Peculiar, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Seth (Jazzmine) Stockam of Bixby, OK, Spencer Stockam of Glenpool, OK, Regan Stockam of Joplin, Connor Stockam of Springfield, MO, Andrea (Ryan) Lorten of Peculiar, MO, Alex (Olivia) Stockam of Oklahoma City, OK, and Alden (Emma) Stockam of Little Rock, AR; eight great-grandchildren, plus a host of brothers and sister in Christ.
A visitation with the family will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 3-4 pm at Mason- Woodard Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary at 10 am with evangelist Murl Helwig officiating. Graveside services at Osborne Cemetery will follow with evangelist Mike Criswell officiating.
