Tia Magana

Tia Danae Thomas-Magana, a cherished soul known for her vibrant spirit and love for the outdoors, passed away at her residence in Joplin, Missouri, on Thursday, August 21, 2024. Born on July 22, 1997, in Anaheim, California, Tia's infectious smile and warm heart touched everyone she met throughout her 27 years of life.

Raised in Riverside, California, Tia was a graduate of King High School's class of 2015. Her early life in Riverside was filled with joyous family gatherings and the forging of lifelong friendships.








After moving to Wyandotte, Oklahoma, in 2022, Tia quickly became a beloved member of her new community. She was employed as a server at Indigo Sky Casino, where her colleagues and patrons appreciated her kindness and exceptional service. Tia's work ethic and engaging personality made her a favorite among those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Tia's passion for life was evident in her many interests. She was an avid nature enthusiast, often found fishing, camping, and attending festivals. Her love for animals was unparalleled, and she cherished every moment spent in the company of her furry friends. Tia's zest for life was contagious, and she inspired others to appreciate the beauty of the world around them.

The family was the cornerstone of Tia's life. She is survived by her mother, Angela Records and husband, Charles, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; her father, Octavio Magana and wife, Shirley, of Riverside, California; five siblings, Eli Records, Julia Gandara, Samantha Magana, Daryan Records and Alexis Records; maternal grandparents, Linda Tornetta-Howard and husband, Donnie, Robert Tornetta and Nana Rebecca Thomas; paternal grandparents, Francisco and Virginia Magana and Sergio and Aurora Carrera; maternal great-grandmother, Marge Amer; as well as a host of other family and friends. Tia was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Larry Thomas; and maternal great-grandfather, Bill Amer.






 

Visitation will be held on Monday evening, August 26, 2024 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri. A second service will be held later next week in Riverside, California. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.

Services in California are as follows: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary.
