Richard Leasure

Richard Nelson Leasure, age 72, of Lamar, Missouri passed away July 31, 2024.

Richard was born October 30, 1951 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Irwin Harrison Leasure and Carma Jean (Abel) Leasure. Richard graduated from Roy J. Watson High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1969. On August 19, 1992, Richard married Georgia Louise Butner in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1971-1977. Richard worked O'Sullivan's Industries as a forklift operator. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Board. He loved gardening, playing pool, old cars and Chevy trucks.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia; three sons, Rick (Teal) Leasure, Ryan Leasure and Reed (Alician) Leasure; one grandchild, Syanna Faye Leasure; two brothers, Mark (Stephanie) Leasure and Ron (Rita Atencio) Leasure and one sister, Carol (Jim) Wichman.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at the Barton County Senior Citizens Center in Lamar, MO.
