Beverly Vaughan

(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)

Beverly A. Vaughan (Lindstrom), 79, of Joplin, passed away August 25, 2024 with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Laudon Lindstrom and Lyman Jones on July 24, 1945, in Gary, Indiana.

Beverly is survived by seven children: Theresa L Gooley, Frederick O Gable, Anna M Harmon, Eric M Root and spouse Robin Root, Heather L Stewart and spouse Phillip Stewart, Amber D Vaughan, and Chance A Wright; and 1 brother John Sturgis. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Beverly was predeceased by her 1 son Shane, mother, Laudon Lindstrom, father, Lyman Jones, and sister Barbara Winters.

Beverly was a caregiver to her own kids as well as the additional three that she adopted and cared for as her own. She truly was an Angel on earth, and now she’s an angel in the heavens. She passed peacefully after she made sure we were all resting, taking care of all of us till her last breath. Beverly was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. As her health declined, she often repeated the quote: “Don’t mind me, I have a warped sense of humor.”

We will be holding a Celebration of Life for her on September 1st @ Carterville First Baptist Church at 1 p.m. All family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating the amazing, strong-willed, stubborn, big-hearted woman we all loved and adored! In honor of Beverly consider wearing lavender or purple in tribute to her favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, please contact Heather Stewart on where to send those to. Also, we have created a GoFundMe to help with all end-of-life expenses, all leftover donations will be donated to the Joplin Humane Society in honor of Beverly’s love for animals (https://gofund.me/0fb846f2). Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory, Joplin, MO.
