(From Derfelt Funeral Home)David Lee Kunce, age 78, passed away at 8:36 am, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO.
David was born October 31, 1945 in Joplin. His parents were Walter and Ruth (Richey) Kunce. He was a lifetime area resident.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving in the US Army. For the past 10 years, he owned and operated a Flea Market in Carterville, MO. He enjoyed going to Casinos, and shopping at other flea markets.
Surviving are two sons, Dwayne Kunce, McCune, KS and Kris Kunce, Galena, KS; three sisters, Frankie Watrous, Joplin, MO, Alice Rogers, Arkansas; and Karleen Martin, Joplin; two grandsons, Dustin Kunce and Daniel Kunce; two granddaughters, Nina Kunce and Natasha Kunce; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dale Kunce and Donald Kunce, one siste,r Phyllis White, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
David was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. No services are planned.
