(From Clark Funeral Home)Albert (Al) Leroy Nicaise, Neosho, age 79, passed away on August 14, 2024, at The Wildwood Senior Living in Joplin, Missouri, following an illness. Born on November 30, 1944, to Albert Frank Nicaise and Margie (Wente) Nicaise, Al grew up in Frontenac, Kansas, where he completed his education through the 12th grade.
On June 19, 1971, Al married the love of his life, Sandra (Hensley) Nicaise. They shared over five decades together until her passing on May 9, 2023.
Al dedicated 36 years of service to Kansas City Southern Railroad, where he worked diligently until his retirement. His commitment to his community was evident through his involvement as a 32nd-degree Mason, as a member of the Abou Ben Adham Shrine in Springfield, Missouri, and with the Neosho Shrine.
Al had a passion for classic cars, with his 1965 Ford Falcon Sedan Delivery being his pride and joy. He also enjoyed trips to casinos, especially in Las Vegas, and cherished the time spent with his beloved granddaughters.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Lonie, and her husband, Jason; his three granddaughters, Chaney Davidson (Daniel), Monica Hill (James), and Jaimee Nicaise; a grandson, Austin Lonie and two great-grandsons, Little James and Colson. Al will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Toppy Nicaise.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Erin Kern, Gentiva Hospice, and Al's second family at Wildwood Senior Living for their care and support.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri. A private family committal will follow at a later date at IOOF Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri.
