Bob Peck

Robert Dean Peck, 90, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born on Saturday, November 4, 1933, in Carthage, Missouri to the union of the late Ranzel Dean (Sandy) and Dorothy Elizabeth (Lovett) Peck. He was a 1951 graduate of Carthage High School. 







Bob proudly served in the United States Army. During his term he received several commendations, National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal (Germany) and Good Conduct Medal. 

On September 19, 1959, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carol Adrian Moquin. Together they shared nearly sixty-five years of wonderful memories. He was employed with Eagle Picher in Joplin, Missouri. During his employment he was a precision machinist, foremen, salesman and consultant. He was a man of strong work ethics and a very dedicated employee. 

 He was a member of Carthage First Nazarene Church in Carthage, Missouri. He enjoyed making coffee every morning for the BASIC Sunday School Class. He was a past deacon of First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie. 

Bob was a very sentimental guy, saving every card, letter from family and friends he saved over the years. He had a great love for the Lord. He was a wonderful family man that loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing as well as spending time with family and friends. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wayne Allen Peck; grandson, Brandon Lyle Jessip; and sister, Sandra Peck Sullivan.

Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Roberta Suzanne Peck Jessip of Webb City, and Tyler Dean Peck of Sarcoxie; grandchildren, Benjamin Joseph Jessip and wife, Racheal, Andrew Dean Peck and wife, Kera and Stephanie Barwick Jessip; eight great- grandchildren; sister, Betty Jane Peck Stiles; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.








Funeral services are 10:00 Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Carthage First Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Larry White officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Sarcoxie Cemetery. 

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Ben Jessip, Colby Perrill, Andrew Peck, Brian Korb, Billy Carroll and Dean Stiles. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Peck, Tom Gish, Dan Mortimer, Dr. Larry McIntire and Steven Dillon. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. 

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sarcoxie Senior Center, or Carthage First Church of the Nazarene in care of the funeral home.
