Lorene Clark

Lorene May Clark, age 90, of Miller, Missouri, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, August 23, 2024, at home with her loved ones. She was born November 1, 1933, in Newtonia, Missouri, the daughter of David and Eunice (Smith) Ferguson.

Lorene attended school at Triway High School in Newton County, Missouri, until she got married. She later obtained her GED when she was in her 40’s. She retired from the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in 1995. She loved to travel and went on many great adventures with her husband, Robert. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Christian Church. She was loved by many and will be remembered for her sweet smile.








On January 23, 1952, she married the love of her life, Robert Clark in Bentonville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2015.

Lorene is survived by one daughter, Julie Taylor and her husband, Tim of Miller, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Lolita Griffin of Helena, Montana and Barbara Ferguson of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Shawna White of Hurley, Missouri, Rob Henson of Hurley, Missouri, Tamisha Taylor of Springfield, Missouri, Lerenda Taylor of Chillicothe, Missouri, AC Taylor of Elkland, Missouri, April Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri, Zandria Orman of Terlton, Oklahoma, Isaac Taylor of Miller, Missouri, Adrianna Crabb of Joplin, Missouri and Brianna Taylor of Locust Grove Oklahoma, as well as 36 great-grandchildren.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clark, her parents, David, and Eunice Ferguson, one brother, James Ferguson, brother-in-law, Roy Griffin, and several great-grandchildren.








Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Mt. Vernon Christian Church with a Celebration of Life immediately following. Arrangements are the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

This will be an informal gathering of singing songs and sharing stories and scripture.
