(From Clark Funeral Home)
October 25, 1962 - August 1, 2024
The obituary was lovingly written by the family using some of Steve’s own words.
Steve loved America, the Army, and his family—not in that exact order—and Ford trucks, mainly the mid-90s varieties.
He didn’t like communists, Garth Brooks, or snakes.
Steve was a loving and devoted husband and father. According to him, he was also the favorite son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. In addition to this list, his favorite titles were Dad and Ba-Pa.
Steve is survived by his wife, Janet; his children, Glen (Paige) White and Laramie White; and two stepchildren, Alexander (Olivia) Scheppert and Abigail Scheppert. He has one grandchild, Zuri Scheppert. He is also survived by his mother, Mae, and his siblings, Laura (Terry) Courtney, Patty (Mike) Krueger and Margaret (Sam) Taylor. Additional survivors include nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and all the men and women he served with for our country proudly.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tunnel of Towers, 2361 Hylan Island, Staten Island, NY. 10306.

Born to Bud and Mae in 1962 (also the year of the first James Bond movie), he has a loving wife, three awesome sisters, two kids and others he loved like his own. He was also dad to two beautiful black dogs, Cash and Hank.
He also has Waylon.
He had a few jobs but most of his time was spent with the Missouri National Guard. He went to some cool places south of America and Iraq. He was not a fan of Iraq. To quote him “it was 120 last week”.
He liked to wander around town and never passed up a chance to visit with his favorite butcher, fire chief and many other places to gather or share the latest juicy information.
A gifted storyteller, he could become instant friends with a complete stranger. He was always so helpful in giving advice and his opinions unprompted, (again and again, and then once more in case you missed it).
