(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Gregory Devin McPherson, Sr. 71, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Greg was born on Monday, November 29, 1954, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the union of William and Mildred (Masters) McPherson.
After graduation from high school, he proudly serviced in the United States Navy and the United States Army. He later received his master’s degree in business from MSSU and also attended OTC Technical School in Springfield. On March 27, 2025, he was united in marriage to his good friend, Rita Patrick. Together they shared many wonderful memories.
Greg enjoyed karaoke singing, swimming, cookouts and getting to know his new family. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and singing in church. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Greg is survived by his wife, Rita; stepchildren, Danny R. Erskin and Melissa D. Taylor; grandchildren, Lexi Taylor, Grayson Taylor and Zackaria Hood; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Toni Shepherd (Hank), Reba Garner (Bill) Artia Patrick, Rick Patrick (Lori); children, Gregory McPherson, Jr., of Carthage, Keith McPherson (Jackie) of Virgina Beach, Florida, Kevin McPherson of Port Orchid, Washington, Cherity Roland, Krista Moss, Joseph McPherson and Sara Ellis; sisters, Alyse Foley, Valerie Jasinski, Heather Levasseur, Mildred Blodgett and Vanessa Riley; as well as a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mildred (Millie) McPherson; son Derek Moss and brother Billy McPherson.
