(From Parker Mortuary)Jim Fuller passed peacefully at home on May 25, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Jim was born in Kennett, Missouri, on July 6, 1943, and grew up in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He served as a military police sergeant in the United States Army.
Jim joined the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 1968 and retired as a sergeant nearly 30 years later.
Jim is survived by his son, Cameron Fuller (Carlin); life partner Vickie Salmons; sisters Candy and Connie Stout; adopted daughter Carola; two grandsons, Cody Fuller and Corey Fuller; great-grandchildren Ryker, Emilia, Sutton, Hudsyn, and one on the way. He was predeceased by his parents, Junior and Hazel Stout; and son, Steven Fuller.
Jim was a true gentleman who was loved and respected by his many friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026 at El Dorado Springs City Cemetery, under the direction of Parker Mortuary of Joplin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name can be sent to Golden Paw Pet Rescue, 2300 North Main, in Joplin.
