(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Warren A. Roberts, age 98, of Joplin, MO passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026 in the comfort of his home.
Warren was born on June 21, 1927 in Grinnell, IA to his parents Glenn and Della (Strong) Roberts. He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 and proudly served his country during WWII in Germany and France. When he returned, he married the love of his life, Cora Arlene Gard, on August 1, 1947 in Des Moines, IA and they spent their lives together until her passing on June 13, 2004.
Warren then married Jeannette Dry on March 9, 2006 in Eureka Springs, AR. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2018.
He was an entrepreneur throughout his life owning several businesses including Mom and Pop’s Donuts and Right Away Janitorial Services. Warren was a lover and collector of cars as well and kept a detailed record of the expansive number of cars he owned throughout his life.
Warren is preceded in passing by his parents, Glenn and Della Roberts, his wife Cora Roberts, his sons, Kenny Roberts, and Ronnie Roberts, his brother, Clifford Roberts, and his sisters Lucille Sherman and Roberta Wilson.
He is survived by two sons, David Roberts and Glenn Roberts, 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date.
He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
