Wanda Foster

Wanda Pearl Foster, 92, of Neosho, Missouri and Conroe, Texas passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, in Conroe, TX. She was born on July 30, 1933, to Ernest Dixon and Grace Broyles Dixon in Ottawa County, Oklahoma.

After graduating from Neosho High School, she attended Beauty school and worked as a hairdresser. On May 23, 1952, she married William Lee Foster. Together, they shared 63 years of marriage. They co-owned Foster Produce and Joplin City Market, Inc, for many years.








She was known for her love of flowers, reading, game shows and needle work. Over the last 5 years, she has created thousands of crocheted hats and lap blankets that she donated to children's hospitals, nursing homes and shelters. She loved to travel, visiting 49 states and 2 other countries.

She attended Oakwood Christian church in Neosho Missouri, College Heights Christian Church in Joplin Missouri and First Christian Church in Derby Kansas. She served the Lord's church by teaching many children over the years of the Lord's love for them. She witnessed to all those around her the love of Jesus as she exemplified His love to them.

She was an active member of the Gideon Ladies Auxiliary, where she distributed many Bibles around her community and surrounding communities, sharing the Word with many people.

Wanda is survived by her son, Mike Foster of Neosho Missouri, her daughter, Denise Bicknell and son in law, Tim Bicknell of Conroe, TX, her brother, Monty Dixon and sister-in-law, Joyce Dixon of Springfield Mo, and her sister-in-law Doris McLaughlin of Mesa AZ, her 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granddaughters. 








She was predeceased by her husband, Lee Foster, her parents Ernest and Grace Dixon, her brother, Ernie Dixon, her sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Dale Bruton, her brother-in-law, Harry McLaughlin, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Dolores Foster, and her grandson, Ricky Foster.

Visitation is Friday May 15, 2026, at 6:30 - 7:30 PM, at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri

A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho Missouri.

Graveside service will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Neosho immediately following the service.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Clark Funeral Homes.
