Travis Craig

Travis Eugene Craig, age 53, of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, departed this life suddenly on Friday morning, May 22, 2026, at his residence following a cardiac arrest. He entered this life on October 10, 1972, in Gravette, Arkansas, born to the union of the late David Eugene Craig, Sr. and Pat (Drake) Craig.

Travis was raised in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, and was a 1991 graduate of McDonald County High School. He continued his education at Crowder College in the poultry science program. Throughout his working years, Travis was employed by Simmons Foods, Quest, R&R Solutions, Southwest Creations, and he worked for his best friend JR’s Backhoe Service.








Travis attended Beacon Baptist Church in Gravette, Arkansas, where his faith was an important part of his life. He found joy in simple, meaningful things, including woodcarving, working his cattle, fishing, and enjoying a good meal. Above all, he cherished time with his grandchildren, who brought him great happiness and pride. His love for family was evident in the way he lived, and his presence at gatherings will be remembered with deep affection.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Craig of the home, whom he married on December 16, 2024. He is also survived by his two children, Wyatt Craig and his wife, Jade, of Grove, Oklahoma, and Madelyn Craig of Jay, Oklahoma. He leaves behind two stepchildren, Justin Davis of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Ashley Davis of Southwest City, Missouri. He is further survived by five grandchildren, Laiken Craig, Caden Craig, Harley Blake, Haley Blake, and Denny Baker, as well as his brother, Steven Demoss of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and two heifers; Travisena and Katie Elder; as well as host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.








He was preceded in death by his parents, David Eugene Craig, Sr. and Pat (Drake) Craig, and by two brothers, David Craig, Jr. and Roger Demoss.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2026 at Beacon Baptist Church in Gravette, Arkansas with Bro. Ricky Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Wyatt Craig, Steven Demoss, Justin Davis, Jr Drake, Bradley Drake and Derek Drake. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. at Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home.
