Bill Garrison

William H. “Bill” Garrison, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Bill was born October 29, 1933, in Troy, Missouri, to Burl Garrison and Faye (Burge) Garrison. He lived in Carl Junction, Missouri for many years, graduating from Carl Junction High School in 1951. He lived in Joplin, Missouri for many years also and Lake Havasu, Arizona for a short time. 







Bill attended Second Assembly of God Church in Joplin, Missouri. He started working for Ray Miller at the Carl Junction Standard, a weekly newspaper, when he was sixteen years old and worked in the Printing Business in Independence, Missouri and Joplin, Missouri, retiring in 1995. He was in the U.S. Army stationed in Mainz, Germany, with the 2nd Armored Division. He was married to Charlotte A. Spencer on August 30, 1958, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to this union three children were born. Charlotte passed away on December 3, 1964. He married Karen A. Boyer on July 27, 1974, in Webb City, Missouri, she survives of the home.

Bill was preceded in death by two sons, Robert W. Garrison and Lyle R. Garrison; one daughter, Linda D. Garrison-Buckley; brother, George R. Garrison; and sister, Francis E. Anderson.








Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Garrison; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Garrison.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with a Graveside Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Carl Junction Cemetery with Pastor John Veezy officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
