Thomas ‘Tom’ Bowers, 65, Neosho, died November 5, 2015 at his home in Neosho, following a lengthy illness.
Tom was born May 22, 1950 in Goodman, the son of Paul and Billie (Francisco) Bowers. He was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Neosho High School. In the early 1980’s, he established Bowers Meat Company and Locker in Neosho and then worked with local union 319 until his retirement. Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Sue Schooler Bowers of Neosho; two sons, Justin Bowers of Neosho and Andy Bowers and wife, Missy of Neosho; grandchildren, Kenzie, Taylor and Elle Bowers and Brycen, Baylie and Wade Bowers and Cortlyn Hendricks; one brother, Mike Bowers of Boulder City and one sister, Patty Kelly of Granby. He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
SERVICES
Tom has been taken for cremation; the family will plan services for a later date.
