Grover P. Henderson, age 83, of Joplin passed away on Wednesday, March 01, 2017 at Freeman West Hospital.
He was born on May 19, 1933 in Purcell, Missouri to Albert Henderson and Ethel (Emerson) Henderson. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. Grover retired from Atlas Powder Company after 32 years, was a field captain for CJ React, and a storm spotter for Joplin Civil Defense.
He is survived by his sons, Carl Henderson of Joplin; Rick Henderson of Baxter Springs,and Randy Henderson of Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Graveside services with military rites will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Weaver Cemetery with Reverend Ron Woody officiating.
