Charles W. Berry, 67, passed away Thursday October 9, 2014 in Joplin Missouri. Charles was born July 22, 1947 in Dade County, Rural Greenfield to Armond and Emma (Asbell) Berry. Charles grew up in the Greenfield area and spent the last 40 years in Carthage. Charles retired from Schreibers after 34 years.
Charles was united in marriage to Nancy Craig November 4, 1992 in Miami, OK. She survives.
Charles is survived by his wife, one daughter, Shelly McGrane of Carl Junction, three grandchildren; Mark McGrane, Danielle McGrane and Matthew McGrane, two great grandchildren; Robert McGrand and Jackson McGrane, three sisters ; Wilma Schaal of Criple Creek, CO, Carolyn Snodgrass of San Antonio, TX and Vickie Arafiles of Haiku, Maui, one brother Gordon Berry of Carthage, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded by his parents, one son Brad Berry, March 1994, one sister Linda Berry and four brothers; Kenneth, Dale, Clifford and Jerry.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday October 13, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home Carthage, Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday October 12, 2014 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery. Online Condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Contributions can be made to the A.S.P.C.A., the Association for the prevention of cruelty to animals or the Carthage Humane Society in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
