Thelma Butler

Thelma Butler age 89, Hermann, Mo, formerly of Joplin, Mo, passed away Saturday October 25, 2014 following a short illness.

 She was born October 10, 1925 in Bakersfield, Mo to Henry and Erah (Evans) Provow. She was a housewife and was also self-employed in the cleaning industry. She was a member of The Living Church of God and was very active with the church.

 Thelma married Herschel Butler on January 7, 1978 in Springfield, Mo and he survives. Additional survivors include one daughter; Bernadine Gerhardt and husband Phillip, Springfield, Mo, one son Densel Kimbrough and wife Star, Springfield, Mo, three step sons; Herschel Butler and wife Pamela, Hermann, Mo, Robert Butler and wife Rhonda, St. Louis, Mo, David Butler, Atlanta, Ga, and numerous grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sharon Kimbrough, three brothers, Ernest Provow, Paul Provow, Byrum Provow and three sisters; Dortha Hall, Joyce Anderson, and Laura.

 Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary Chapel with Karl Beyersdorfer, Minister, officiating, Burial will follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary.
