Marlin Emery Allen passed away Friday October 10, 2014 of a sudden illness.
Marlin was born on June 3rd 1946 in Western Virginia, the son of Marvin and Edith Allen. He married Joyce Hirshey on June 3rd 1970 in Miami, OK. Together they raised three children, Marlin Worked many years at W.R. Grace and retired from F.A.G. Bearing in Joplin, MO. He was a very hard worker, loved sports and especially loved his family. He was a through and through Oakland Raiders fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce on September 3rd 2014, and his parents Marvin Allen and Edith “Neill” Allen. Survivors include his three children: Kerry Allen, Angela Atkinson and Mandy Jo Allen all of Joplin, MO; six: grandchildren: Kayla Spencer, Kloie Simmonds, Jaxxyn, Brody and Emery Allen and Dakotah E Allen.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday October 17, 2014 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary with his son Kerry Allen officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Lazarus Ministries 21st and sergeant Joplin, MO.
Arrangements are the direction of the Mason- Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
