Roy Emerson Wormington, age 38, of Pierce City, MO died on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO.
Mr. Wormington was born in Springfield, MO on Thursday, September 18, 1980 and was the son of Roy Sr. and Marie (Welsandt) Wormington. Roy served his country in the U.S. Army. Roy loved farming and plumbing and helped many people with both.
Surviving are the following: one son, Shane Wormington of Rogers, AR; his mother, Marie Wormington of Pierce City, MO; nine sisters, Sheila Crudup of Richmond, VA, Jeannette Wormington of Neosho, MO, Belinda Kellerman of Forsyth, MO, Rose Prier of Verona, MO, Becky Franklin of Wichita, KS, Rowena Werth of Wichita, KS Tammy Werdenauason of Osage Beach MO, Betty Jo Newbrough of West Virginia, and Diana Schoutz; and four brothers, Eugene F. Clapper of Fredericksburg, VA; Rick Wormington of Mt. Grove, MO, Roger Wormington of Pittsburg, KS, and David Wormington of Ohio: and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a memorial service at Lakin Funeral Home. The time and date will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
