(From Parker Mortuary)Esther Dianne Smith, 70, of Diamond, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Joplin.
Dianne born September 6, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Norris Necaise and Ina Mae Pruvis. Dianne lived in the Joplin area the majority of her lifetime.
Dianne was a long-time employee of Eagle Picher Seneca and also Petro Truck Stop in Joplin. She loved to crochet and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She was a wonderful wife and mother and was loving devoted to taking care of her son Philip.
Dianne loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed the memories created with them. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
On April 15, 1989, Dianne was united in marriage to Philip R. Smith in Neosho, Missouri and together they shared 31 years. He survives at the home.
In addition to her parents Dianne was preceded in death by a brother, Dwayne; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hayes.
Dianne is also survived by her two sons, Jamie Bull, Philip Allen Smith; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; siblings, Sonja, Janet, James; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit during normal business hours at the mortuary on Thursday and Friday.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
