Jack Harp

Jack C. Harp, 71, of Anderson, Missouri, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his home.

He was born on December 23, 1949 in Anderson, Missouri, to Leslie and Josephine Harp. On June 3, 1981 he married Jerry Widener. 

Jack was well known and loved as the “milkman” for the McDonald/ Newton County area. He worked for Foremost then switched to Hiland and worked as a Hiland distributor for over 40 years. 








For many years, Jack also had a bread route and a liquidation store called “Little Bit of Everything”. Jack was a Christian and he attended Hilltop Mission Church in Anderson, Mo. He loved spending time with his family and working on his milk route, visiting with his customers.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Retha Cooper, Betty Cooper and Doralee Gilion; and two brothers, Glen Harp and Bob Harp.

He is survived his wife Jerry Harp, three daughters: Kim (Mike) Wales of Anderson MO, Michelle (Travis) Van Wagner of Miami, Ok and Shana (David) Gilstrap of Seneca, MO; and two sons: Chad (Missy) Toland of Joplin, MO and Michael Toland of Granby, MO. He has ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He has four living sisters: Bertha Buckley, Alice Holly, Earline Harp and Ruby Newell.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 3, 2020 from 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021, at the New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Mike Buckley will officiate. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers will be Mike Wales, Travis Van Wagner, Trent Van Wagner, David Gilstrap, Dade Gilstrap and Quade Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Arlo Wales, Bill Thomas, Jaret Rubio. 

In lieu of flowers, the Harp family requests memorial contributions be made to the New Bethel Cemetery Association.
