Loren Haase

Loren Alva Haase, a lifelong Granby area resident, entered into rest on December 17, 2020 at the age of 86. Loren was born on July 31, 1934 in Newton County, MO, the son of Samuel and Gladys
(McKee) Haase.

Loren was raised in Southwest Missouri, near Jolly Mill and was a graduate of Midway High School in the Class of 1952. After graduation he would soon marry his wife, Dixie Carol McDaniel on October 5, 1952 and together raised four children. 

While raising his family, Loren worked at Granby Manufacturing for over thirty years. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball and retired from Granby Elementary at the age of 62.







A faithful member of the First Church of God, Loren sang in the church choir on Sundays which he enjoyed very much. He always enjoyed listening to bluegrass music when he wasn’t singing in the choir. After retirement, he had a passion for spending time with Dixie and going on trips together, especially spending time with their family. Dixie preceded him death on April 11, 2014.

Loren is survived by his four children: Kathleen Clymer and husband Dean of Rich Hill, MO; Leslie Haase and wife Claudia of Granby,MO; Barbara McGehee and husband Scott of Neosho, MO; and Beverly Haase of Granby,MO. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby, MO. Burial will follow at Granby Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Coburn, Eric Coburn, Cody Spencer, Kyle Harvel, Brent Scott, and Brendon Coburn. An open viewing will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 12-4 p.m. and Monday 9-1 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Granby Miners Museum in
care of Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 26, Granby, MO, 64844.
