James Foust

James Edward Foust, age 93, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 7:34 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Cox Hospital, in Monett, Missouri. He was born December 25, 1926, in Stotts City, Missouri, the son of Edward and Nora (Enke) Foust.

James was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II and was a truck driver for KAW Trucking Company. He enjoyed fishing, playing music and was a member of the First Christian Church in Mt. Vernon.

On June 7, 2016, he married Barbara Clevenger in Mt. Vernon.








James is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Debra Ryan and her husband, Bubba, of Bellevue, Nebraska; ten grandchildren, Shawna, Lisa, Brandon, Shane, Jason, Nicholas, Jennifer, Codi, Donovan and Kasie; several great and great-great grandchildren and one sister, Magrette Baugh and her husband, Homer, of Carthage, Missouri.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nora, his first wife of 65 years, Elsie Mae Foust, one son, Larry Edward Foust, one daughter, Barbara Jean Foust, one brother, Marvin and one sister, Helen.

A celebration of James' life will be held at a later date with burial at Goss Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
