Stanley Cope

Stanley D. Cope, 88, formerly of Joplin, left this world to be with his beloved Lord in Heaven on May 23, 2020 at 3:15 am in his home, with his wife, Linda and step-granddaughter, Savannah by his side.

Stanley was born January 22, 1932 to Garland and Evelyn (Goodson) Cope in Neosho, Missouri and was their only child. 

 He was preceded in death by both of his children, Stephen Cope and Judy Cope-Rasmussen. 

 He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda. 








 He is also survived by five stepsons, Brian Cleaveland, Bob Cleaveland, Dennis Cleaveland, Mark Cleaveland and Scott Cleaveland; three grandchildren, Stephanie Cope, Cara Haines and Alex Rasmussen; five stepgrandchildren, Justin Cleaveland, Savannah Roth, Serena Cleaveland, Molly Stewart, Dennis Cleaveland, Jr. and numerous great grandchildren.

Stanley served in the Air Force and was a businessman in the Joplin and Neosho, Missouri area and Northwest Arkansas area for decades. Stanley and Linda retired to Anacortes, Washington in 2005, where they became vital members of the New Hope Christian Fellowship Church.

Stanley has been cremated and his cremains will be placed in the Oakwood Cemetery, Neosho, Missouri.
