(From Daniel Funeral Home)
Shane Cole Nunn, age 44, of Mindenmines, Missouri, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at his home.
Shane was born September 11, 1972 in Visalia, California. A natural athlete and sports enthusiast, he excelled in football and was an award-winning wrestler in high school. Shane had a life-long love of music, was a dance instructor and a self-taught guitarist. While living in California, he had worked as a heavy equipment operator, truck driver, welder, and electrician before attaining a position as superintendent of the northwestern district of Dover Elevators Service Department. At the peak of his career, a fall left Shane disabled and he endured much pain for the rest of his life. Last year, he moved to Mindenmines, where he quickly made friends and was always busy. His knack for making something out of nothing earned him the title “King of Recycling” and he could turn something viewed by many as worthless into treasure. Shane shared his artistic talent and creativeness to raise funds for churches and was a wonderful cook who loved to see friends and family enjoy his delicious food. Above all else, Shane loved the Lord and his family.
Survivors include his mother, and Edith Nunn; a son, Cole (Whitney) Nunn, Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Kimberly Nunn (Anthony Cardenas) and Mariah Nunn of Redding, California; a brother, Ike Nunn of Arkansas; two grandchildren, Philip Cardenas and Arhea McLeod.
Shane was preceded in death by many family members including his father, Marvin Phillips, grandparents, Annie & Emery Miller and Paul & Lovie Nunn, and uncles, Paul Nunn, Jr. and Gary Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9th, at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Nunn family to help with funeral expenses.
