Heidi Jo Anderson, 38, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away October 31, 2016 at the home she shared with her soul mate, Don Tipton.
She graduated from Sarcoxie High School in 1996 as Valedictorian of her class. Heidi graduated Cum Laude in the honors college on August 3, 2001, from Missouri State University (SMSU) with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She received a research scholarship to Texas Tech in wildlife biology. After one semester, she was employed at the VA in Kansas City doing research on spinal cord injuries. She also attended KU briefly while pursuing a nursing degree. She was brilliant and talented. She loved to cook and sing karaoke. Heidi was loved so much more than she knew and we are so proud of her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Vivian and Maynard Williams and Andy and Evaline Anderson.
Heidi is survived by her best friend and companion, Don Tipton, of Kansas City, Missouri; her parents, Larry and Arrah Anderson of Granby, Missouri; three sisters, DeeDee Anderson of Joplin, Missouri, Kari Williams and husband, Jeromy Williams, of Carthage, Missouri, and Kristi Hart and husband, Aaron Hart of Jefferson City, Missouri; two nieces, Lyndsey Harper and husband, Clint Harper and Viv Hart; three nephews, Ethan Williams and wife, Maggie Williams, Kanon Williams and Abe Hart; and two great-nieces, Bentlee and Quinlee Williams.
Services for Heidi are 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Eric Roach officiating.
