A. J. Hurst

Andrew Jackson “A.J.” Hurst, Age 17, died Saturday, February 2nd in Orlando Florida.

He was born August 1st 2001 in Bridgeton, St. Louis, Missouri to William H. Hurst and Kimberly J. Loth. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Bob Loth. Survivors include his parents and his sister Xandi Hurst, grandparents Dennis Hurst of Cassville,
Barbara Hurst of Blackfoot, Idaho, Matt and Laurie DeVito of Tucson, Arizona, aunt and uncle Amy and Jay Johnson of Houston, Texas, aunt and uncle Tiffany and Richard Clark of Tucson, Arizona, and cousins Jayce, Colten, and Emily Johnson. He is also survived by a great-grandfather, Karl Loth of Borculo, Michigan.

AJ attended BYU Idaho and was with his parents and sister in Orlando for the weekend when he passed. AJ loved travel and for one so young was well traveled. He lived in both Cairo, Egypt and Shenzhen, China. He visited many countries including Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, England, Greece, Jordan, Thailand, Japan, and Vietnam. AJ was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He enjoyed both attending games and watching them with the DeVitos at home. He played the drums and loved music. AJ enjoyed video games would compete competitively playing Super Smash Bros. He was a skilled strategist for all sorts of games and enjoyed spending time with his family.









AJ is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held the office of Priest in the Aaronic priesthood. He was well loved by both his brethren in Tucson and also his fellow ward members at Rexburg.

Funeral Services will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel in Anderson, Missouri, across from McDonald County High School, at 10am Saturday, February 9th, 2019 under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. A luncheon will follow. Burial will be at Hazel Green Cemetery in Boulder City, Missouri. Donations in lieu of flowers are encouraged to the Mental Health awareness charity of your choice.
